“Clockwork,” she said, tugging me to my feet. “Come on—we have to go.”
“Where are all the people?”
“Gone. The robots took them.”
I stopped. “The robots? Like you?”
“No, like Brother but not like Brother.”
I held my position. “I don’t understand.”
She froze and looked beyond me...
